Jamila's Guide to Cleaning Fern!

Hey, guys. As you might have read on Alex's post, my router MYSTERIOUSLY DISAPPEARED from my house. So I'm completely internet-less until I figure out what the hell is going on in my house. If you need to tell me anything it'll have to be via text, or in person. Hopefully nobody will have any major problems with this.

hey guys, heres my attempts at a more independent, sturdy, strong shop owner. shes not that rotatable :s i was just trying to play around with her character type i guess? i'll do some more for sure, and they will be better, and in a style that is more appropriate for our film.

Character Posing and Props

made Fern super tall :s and the first page is just warm up sketches, figuring out how to draw her. thought i would post it in case it could help anyone else draw her. I also painted the fruits and veggies in different styles just to see what direction you guys would like to go in with them.

Fern and Brimley Shape Design

I thought i would try to boil the characters down to the main shapes that make them up to help us simplify the designs and learn how to draw them with the correct proportions. (well to some degree b/c these aren't THAT accurate!) I saw some work like this in the incredibles book a few weeks back and was dying to try it :)

Okay, so here's my attempt to draw a frumpy woman. You should have seen the other (much more like drag Queen) attempts...Very witchy, though. Hope it stirs up some ideas anyway :)
